Who I am:
Hello everyone out there in rag-wing land. I’m Shirley Girard, and I live in Stuttgart. I’ve been in Germany since 1991 and think it’s about time to resume my chosen occupation, namely restoration of antique, sport, and experimental airplanes and gliders. Before moving to Germany I practiced my trade for 15 years, three as an apprentice, and twelve as Mudflap Aviation, working predominately alone, and traveling occasionally. My husband Bill and I have three kids, a daughter 20, who is currently living in Ohio and in college, a daughter 18, and a son 15. Bill works as pianist, coach and conductor at the Stuttgart State Opera, which is why we’re here in “das Vaterland”.
